Bourne waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Seekonk Warriors by a score of 69-61. Given the Canalmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Warriors are ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seekonk's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greyson Baldizar, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Baldizar has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caiden Sears, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 15 points and five assists.

Bourne's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Seekonk, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Bourne will challenge Case at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seekonk, they will take on North Attleborough at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
