It was a good run, but Kennedy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Katella Knights by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Fighting Irish have suffered since March 18th.

Tyler Onofre spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Kennedy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Bergmann, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Bergmann has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Katella, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

While Kennedy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
