Basketball Recap: St. Paul Lutheran Comes Up Short

St. Paul Lutheran lost against North County back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. Paul Lutheran Giants fell just short of the North County Raiders by a score of 48-45.

Despite the loss, St. Paul Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Mia Sherrill, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most boards Sherrill has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Weibrecht, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards.

St. Paul Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for North County, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Paul Lutheran will head out to square off against Lesterville at 5:00 p.m. on January 7th. St. Paul Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. As for North County, they will take on Ste. Genevieve at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th.
