Grandview Heights is 0-5 against Grove City Christian since April of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to take on the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. Grandview Heights has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Things were looking good for Grandview Heights after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Bishop Ready, falling 14-4.
Grandview Heights saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ejheni Mdivanian, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Grove City Christian put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Fairfield Christian Academy. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Knights. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Ashley Williams and Abbie White made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Williams tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At the plate, Williams went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and one stolen base, while White got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Grove City Christian got a massive performance out of Kelsey Kennedy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Kennedy has posted since back in May of 2024. Kinsey Hovance was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Grove City Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .838. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win got Grove City Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Grandview Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Grandview Heights couldn't quite finish off Grove City Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 13-11. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
