Volleyball Recap: Highland Falls Despite Big Games from Brinley Homer and Jaycie Homer

If Highland was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mountain View on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell just short of the Idaho Falls Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Highland wouldn't go down easily and took Idaho Falls into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 27-29, 15-7.

Despite the loss, Highland had strong showings from Jaycie Homer, who had 11 digs and five aces, and Brinley Homer, who had 18 digs and eight kills.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Idaho Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Coeur d'Alene on the 4th. As for Idaho Falls, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Mountain View on the 3rd.
