Basketball Recap: Queen's Grant Piles Up the Points Against Carolina International

Queen's Grant entered their tilt with Carolina International on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-11 win over the Comets. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Queen's Grant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Za'Miya Bynum, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 13 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Bynum has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 31 times she's played. Casey Smith was another key player, going 10-for-11 on her way to 21 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Queen's Grant was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February.

Queen's Grant's record now sits at 11-1. As for Carolina International, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Coming up, Queen's Grant will be taking part in a tournament against Westover at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Carolina International, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jackson Day at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. The Comets will need to watch out since the Mariners have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
