Softball Recap: Penn Cambria Panthers vs. Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers
Penn Cambria extended their losing streak to five on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 1-5 in the process. They lost 11-3 to the Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Autumn Yeoman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Farabaugh, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.
As for Westmont Hilltop, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 16.8 runs this season.
On Westmont Hilltop's side, Addy Dunbar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits.
On the hitting side, Westmont Hilltop let Abby Rozich and Bella Kist run wild. Rozich went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Kist went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That triple marked the first that Rozich has hit this season.
