Basketball Recap: St. Francis Red Raiders vs. Lake Shore Eagles
St. Francis had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 72-54 win over the Lake Shore Eagles on Friday.
St. Francis had a senior duo take command as Matthew Zielinski shot 64% from the field en route to 21 points and eight rebounds and Andrew Lindstrom went 7-for-13 to rack up 14 points along with eight boards and six steals. Another player making a difference was Mason Anderson, who posted six points and seven rebounds.
St. Francis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.
