Baseball Recap: Althoff Catholic Crusaders vs. East St. Louis Flyers
Althoff Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the East St. Louis Flyers with a sharp 16-1 victory.
Alec Underwood looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
On the hitting side, Althoff Catholic got a massive performance out of Ben Vosse, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. Bo Gomric was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
