Basketball Game Preview: River View Black Bears vs. Tri-Valley Scotties

River View is 0-9 against Tri-Valley since December of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The River View Black Bears will look to defend their home court against the Tri-Valley Scotties at 7:30 p.m. River View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season.

River View is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against West Muskingum on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. River View came up short against West Muskingum, falling 68-46. The Black Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Layton Massie put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Parker Andrews, who put up two points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tri-Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They breezed by Philo to the tune of 68-27 on Thursday. The Scotties have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Tri-Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.3 points. As for River View, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
