Basketball Recap: Atlantic County Institute of Tech Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Atlantic County Institute of Tech had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down the Bridgeton Bulldogs 55-41 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-62 on January 8th.

When it comes to explaining why Bridgeton lost, don't look at Jameell Purnell. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. Purnell has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 24 times he's played. Kyion Gray was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Atlantic County Institute of Tech's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10. As for Bridgeton, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cedar Creek the next time they take the court. Bridgeton will head out to face Cedar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Atlantic County Institute of Tech will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
