North Lawndale waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They secured a 32-28 W over the Lake View Wildcats. For the Phoenix, this counts as revenge for the 50-38 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Lake View still got an impressive performance from Jada Marrero, who posted 19 points.

North Lawndale's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points per game. As for Lake View, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Lawndale will welcome North Grand at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake View, they and Francis W. Parker will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played.
