Volleyball Recap: Lutheran South Beats St. Pius X for Their Third Straight Win

Lutheran South won the last time they faced St. Pius X, and Cody Abbas did his part to make sure it happened again. Lutheran South blew past St. Pius X 3-0 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Abbas, who had 15 digs and three assists. He has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last six times he's played.

Lutheran South never let St. Pius X on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 25-20.

The win (which was Lutheran South's third in a row) raised their record to 7-5-2. As for St. Pius X, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Looking ahead, Lutheran South will square off against Clayton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Pius X, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Seckman on the 21st.
