Basketball Recap: Rampart Wins Going Away Against Pueblo Central

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fountain-Fort Carson, Rampart was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Pueblo Central Wildcats as the Rampart Rams made off with a 49-23 win. That looming 49-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rams yet this season.

Rampart found their leader in sophomore Arabelle Madril, who went 8-for-15 on her way to 22 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Madril has scored all season. Taytum Robinson was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Rampart was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-16. As for Pueblo Central, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

When Rampart and Pueblo Central next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Rampart will try to stop Pine Creek's ten-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pueblo Central will take on Pueblo East and their eight-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
