Baseball Recap: Monday's Win Is Washington Union's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Washington Union's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Foothill Cougars by a score of 6-2.

Davin Finderup was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Trey Morris, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Finderup wasn't the only one making solid contact: Washington Union kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothill only managed four hits.

Washington Union has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Foothill, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Washington Union will challenge Hanford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Bullpups at the right time seeing as the Bullpups are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Foothill, they will take on Frontier at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
