Basketball Recap: Sweet Home Comes Up Short

Sweet Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 65-31 loss at the hands of the Stayton Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Eagles are ranked 63rd).

Sweet Home's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Stayton, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Huskies coming up. Sweet Home will need to watch out since North Marion has now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Stayton, they will welcome Newport at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
