Calvary Christian and South Amboy are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Calvary Christian Lions will head out on the road to take on the South Amboy Governors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 554 points over their last eight games.

Calvary Christian put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Dunellen as Calvary Christian made off with a 64-40 victory. Given Calvary Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Dunellen is ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even though Kennedy Memorial scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, South Amboy still came out on top. South Amboy came out on top in a nail-biter against Kennedy Memorial and snuck past 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory South Amboy has posted yet this season.

Calvary Christian pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for South Amboy, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.

Calvary Christian strolled past South Amboy when the teams last played on January 3rd by a score of 68-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calvary Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
