Softball Recap: Tennyson Falls to Irvington in First Game of Season

Tennyson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Irvington Vikings on Thursday, falling 22-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Tennyson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vivianne Lozano, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Irvington's win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Looking ahead, Tennyson will head out to challenge California School for the Deaf at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Irvington, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Deer Valley at 4:00 p.m.
