Baseball Game Preview: Denair Coyotes vs. Delhi Hawks

For the second straight game, Denair will face off against Delhi. The Coyotes will be playing at home against the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Denair didn't have quite enough to beat Delhi and fell 3-2. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaden Prine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has become a key player for Denair: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 3-5-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Denair saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Lundquist, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Delhi, bringing their record up to 10-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Denair, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1.
