Mexico posted their closest win since April 19, 2024 on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Marcellus Mustangs 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Evan Hansen was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Robert, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Mexico now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Marcellus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-1 record this season.

Mexico will have a chance to go back-to-back against Marcellus: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
