Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Claire Osborne and Alana Thompson Lead Frankton to Victory

While Frankton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Elwood Panthers on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Frankton was led to victory by Alana Thompson and Claire Osborne. Thompson had 11 digs and two assists, while Osborne had three digs and three aces. What's more, Osborne racked up ten assists, the most she's had over her last eight games.

They weren't the only good server: Frankton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elwood only served two aces.

Frankton's record is now 7-1. As for Elwood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Frankton has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Cambridge City Lincoln on the 30th. As for Elwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Winchester Community on the 30th.
