Football Game Preview: Hubbertville Lions vs. Lynn Bears + How To Watch

The Hubbertville Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Lynn Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hubbertville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Lynn likes a good challenge.

Hubbertville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 66-6 victory over Brilliant. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Lions just coasted through the last quarter.

Blaize Wakefield was his usual excellent self, throwing for 103 yards and three touchdowns. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Lynn came up short against Marion County on Friday and fell 42-34.

Hubbertville's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 37.2 points thus far. As for Lynn, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Hubbertville came up short against Lynn when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 33-28. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
