Softball Recap: Coal City Coalers vs. Pontiac Indians
Coal City extended their losing streak to five on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 17-12 in the process. They fell 5-0 to the Pontiac Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coalers of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izzy Hinz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 12 matchups.
