Richards's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Whitney Young on Tuesday. The Bulldogs never let the Shepard Astros get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Richards is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Shepard, they dropped their record down to 11-12-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Richards will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Astros: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
