Maria Carrillo hasn't had much luck against Ukiah recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pumas will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Maria Carrillo sitting on four straight victories and Ukiah on three.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Maria Carrillo and Santa Rosa had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Pumas enjoyed a cozy 41-26 win over the Panthers on Friday.

It was another big night for Estefan Ramirez, who picked up 245 receiving yards and three scores. Those 245 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Bluestone, who threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Ukiah got the win against St. Vincent de Paul on Saturday by a conclusive 27-6. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Maria Carrillo better keep an eye on Beau David. He was instrumental in Ukiah's win, throwing for 184 yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 74 yards and one score. David's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildcats' success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
Ukiah didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited St. Vincent de Paul to a completion percentage of just 47.4%. The Wildcats weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 63.2%.
Ukiah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dareon Dorsey and Clayton Petri.
Ukiah's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Maria Carrillo, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Maria Carrillo has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 359.9 total yards per game. However, it's not like Ukiah struggles in that department as they've been averaging 362.4 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Maria Carrillo might still be hurting after the 40-14 loss they got from Ukiah in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Will the Pumas have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more football content.
