Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only McClave walked away with it. They blew past the Prairie Mustangs 3-0 on Thursday. The Cardinals are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Abrielle Gomez paced McClave's offense, picking up 16 kills. Gomez got some help from Yesenia Almanza and her 35 assists. Gomez was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with four each.

McClave's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Prairie, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 19-7 record.

Coming up, McClave will challenge Fleming at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
