Softball Game Preview: San Dimas Saints vs. Colony Titans

The San Dimas Saints will challenge the Colony Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for San Dimas and seven for Colony.

San Dimas came into this matchup off a tough 12-run defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Los Altos by a score of 4-2 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Saints have suffered since April 24, 2024.

San Dimas saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Graciela Alt-Ambriz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Alta Loma hit Colony with a four-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans came up short against the Braves, falling 10-4.

Khloe Barros(2027) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

San Dimas' defeat dropped their record down to 11-9-1. As for Colony, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. San Dimas hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Colony struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
