Football Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

Freeport lost against Walton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs were outmatched by the Braves and fell 68-28. The Bulldogs were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Despite the loss, Freeport still got an impressive performance from Julius Miles, who picked up 86 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also punched in one rushing score.

Freeport is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4. As for Walton, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Coming up, Freeport will venture away from home to challenge North Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.88 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Walton, they will host Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
