Basketball Recap: Holly Comes Up Short

Holly lost against Swink back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Holly Wildcats fell to the Swink Lions 39-35. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Swink can attribute much of their success to Jocelynn James, who posted 18 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which James has scored at least a third of Swink's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Mills, who earned seven points and 14 rebounds.

Holly's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Swink, their record now sits at 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holly has already played their next match (against South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett]), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Swink Lions face off against the McClave Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
