Softball Recap: Monessen Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Monessen's offense. They came up short against the California Trojans on Friday, falling 12-0. The defeat leaves the Greyhounds still looking for their first win of the season.

Monessen's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for California, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Monessen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-3 defeat against Jeannette on the 1st. As for California, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Jefferson-Morgan on the 1st.
