Softball Recap: York Takes a Loss

York came into this matchup off a tough 12-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Pavilion Golden Gophers by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Knights in their meetings with the Golden Gophers: they've now lost three in a row.

York's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Pavilion, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. York will face off against Dansville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Knights are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Pavilion, they will take on Caledonia-Mumford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
