Softball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.2 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Glenbrook North Spartans, falling 10-1. The matchup marked the Giants' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Highland Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Cisternino, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Vera Hanson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Glenbrook North, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-7.
