Volleyball Recap: Campo Verde's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Campo Verde had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Canyon View Jaguars as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was payback for the Coyotes, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Campo Verde was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-17.

Isaiah Holland paced Campo Verde's offense, picking up 12 kills. Holland got some help from Carter Skousen and his 31 assists. Skousen was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Campo Verde's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Canyon View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season.

Campo Verde will square off against Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Scorpions have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Canyon View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
