Volleyball Recap: Pierce's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Pierce lost against University Prep back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The loss put an end to the Bears' undefeated start to the season.

Pierce started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

Leah Charter paced Pierce's offense, picking up 16 kills. Charter got some help from Magali Jauregui and her 21 assists.

Maya Tabarez was nothing short of spectacular for University Prep: she had 32 digs and one assist.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pierce fell to 2-1. As for University Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Pierce has already played their next game (against Eureka), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for University Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Orland on the 23rd.
