Soccer Recap: Freeport Takes a Loss

Freeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockford East E-Rabs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Freeport of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-2. As for Rockford East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-9-2.

Freeport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rockford East, they will face off against Kaneland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Rockford East will be up against Kaneland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.27 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
