Volleyball Recap: Silas Rams vs. Capital Cougars
Silas lost against Capital back in October of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Silas Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Capital Cougars. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Silas started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-17.
Even though they lost, Silas was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 19 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Silas' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Capital, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6-1.
Silas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Emerald Ridge on the 14th. Capital has also already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Central Kitsap on the 16th.
