Softball Game Preview: Marion Swamp Foxes vs. Manning Monarchs

The Marion Swamp Foxes will head out on the road to face off against the Manning Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Marion nor Manning posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Marion blew Green Sea Floyds out of the water the last time the pair played, but last Friday Green Sea Floyds got their revenge. The Swamp Foxes fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Swamp Foxes were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Manning fell victim to Atlantic Collegiate Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to the Armada, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manning now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Marion, they moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
