Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between them and the Lakota East Thunderhawks didn't end well, with the Hamilton Big Blue falling 53-38. While losing is never fun, the Big Blue can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Thunderhawks are ranked 63rd).

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Lakota East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton has already played their next matchup (against Sycamore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lakota East will challenge Mason at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Mason sitting on three straight wins and Lakota East on five.
