Basketball Recap: Ocean View Comes Up Short

Ocean View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palm Springs Indians. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 972nd, while the Indians are ranked 450th).

Ocean View's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Palm Springs, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Ocean View and Grand Terrace will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 75.64 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Palm Springs, they will take on Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary in a tournament on Monday. The Cardinals have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
