Basketball Recap: East Hill Christian Falls Short of West Florida Baptist Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Hill Christian can now relate to. They came up short against the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors on Friday, falling 71-48. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Conquerors recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

West Florida Baptist Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Pearce out in front who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Pearce has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Wiggins, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds.

East Hill Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.

East Hill Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 70-35 win against Santa Rosa Christian on the 15th.
