Soccer Game Preview: El Modena vs. Troy

The El Modena Vanguards will take on the Troy Warriors in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Modena is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, El Modena didn't have quite enough to beat Santiago and fell 4-3. One thing that didn't help El Modena's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Philipp Lange.

Jesus Arcos and Alex Hernandez scored all three of El Modena's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Troy didn't have quite enough to beat Los Amigos on Saturday and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, Troy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Los Amigos are ranked 72nd).

Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-2. As for El Modena, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
