Baseball Recap: Niles North Comes Up Short

Niles North and Niles West squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Niles North had to settle for second. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat back in April.

This is the second loss in a row for Niles North and nudges their season record down to 15-19-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Niles West, they moved to 17-18 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Niles North nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
