Waltrip had won four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 5-1 to make it five. They walked away with a 44-37 win over the Galena Park Yellowjackets. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Waltrip got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was James 'Jimmy' Haren out in front who threw for 190 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The Rams' leading receiver Lil Eric Norris was Haren's top target yet again, picking up 111 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
