Holmes won against Hertford County  on Tuesday with 18  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Thursday. The Aces' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bears  an   18-0 shutout. Considering the Aces have won ten matchups by more than nine  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Mia Hoffer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5  strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Sarah Logan Cobb, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in March.  Harper Evans was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
The  win (which was Holmes' third in a row) raised their record to 11-9. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Hertford County, their loss was  their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-19.
As of now, neither Holmes nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
