Preview: Gainesville Christian Community Warriors vs. Saint Francis Catholic Wolves
The Gainesville Christian Community Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Saint Francis Catholic Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gainesville Christian Community comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Monday, Gainesville Christian Community was beaten by First Christian 50-18. Gainesville Christian Community has not had much luck with First Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Saint Francis Catholic fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Countryside Christian on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Minutemen.
Gainesville Christian Community's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Saint Francis Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Gainesville Christian Community couldn't quite finish off Saint Francis Catholic when the teams last played back in January of 2023 and fell 33-30. Can Gainesville Christian Community avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
