Preview: Davie War Eagles vs. Glenn Bobcats
Davie and Glenn are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Davie War Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Glenn Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Davie is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Davie earned a 58-47 victory over Parkland. The victory was just what Davie needed coming off of a 64-41 loss in their prior matchup.
Davie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malayka Rankin led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Peyton Spaugh, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Glenn's 13-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They walked away with a 31-24 victory over Southern Guilford.
Davie's record is now 8-6. As for Glenn, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13.
Davie won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February of 2023, slipping by Glenn 40-39. Does Davie have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glenn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
