Softball Recap: Grand Saline Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grand Saline can now relate to. They came up short against the Hooks Hornets on Friday, falling 26-11. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Thursday.

Grand Saline's loss dropped their record down to 22-11-1. As for Hooks, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8-1 record this season.

Grand Saline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hooks, they will challenge S & S Consolidated on Saturday. The Rams will roll in looking for their 22nd straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
