Basketball Recap: Edison's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Edison won against Piscataway last Thursday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Edison Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Monroe Township Falcons, sneaking past 46-43. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Falcons are ranked 94th).

The victory was the third in a row for Edison, bringing their record for this year to 8-6. As for Monroe Township, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Edison will challenge Hunterdon Central on Thursday. As for Monroe Township, they will square off against North Brunswick on Thursday.
