Baseball Recap: Bishop Gorman Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bishop Gorman ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Coronado Cougars, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Gaels sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Noah Ramos tossed a big game, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nolan Eberwein, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Bishop Gorman pushed their record up to 18-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Coronado, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-20.

Bishop Gorman will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
