Soccer Recap: Oakland Christian Takes a Loss

Oakland Christian was the 2-0 winner over Genesee Christian when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Soldiers who were credited with the win on Saturday. The Genesee Christian Soldiers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Oakland Christian Lancers' one.

Oakland Christian's goal came courtesy of Daniel Ermshler, which was the first he's scored this season.

Oakland Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Genesee Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Oakland Christian will host Summit at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Genesee Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Nouvel Catholic Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Genesee Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
